Gau is pretty much useless. he has no real but magic. his special consists of Rage attacks. once he uses them he cant use another. he gets this cheap line of attacks that he learns from enemys that didnt seem to kill you when they used it so he thingks that it will kill them. Some of them do really good damage, but some are just useless and miss all of the time. so untill the end of the battle he is pretty much fucked with the one that you gave to him. To learn his "Skills" go to the Veldt (mobliz is on the Veldt) and use his leap command. then he will dissapear for a while and come back with a shit load of more useless things. What good is 255 skill going to do for you anyway. Not to mention i think that he is a loser
